He specializes in preventive cardiology, coronary artery disease, heart rhythm disorders, heart failure, vascular disease, and advanced minimally invasive vein treatments.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Cohen received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in Internal Medicine. He went on to complete his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Hahnemann University Hospital, receiving advanced training in cardiovascular medicine, echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), nuclear cardiology, cardiac catheterization, lipid management, and preventive cardiovascular care.

Throughout his career, Dr. Cohen has combined a passion for innovation with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. He was one of the first cardiologists in Florida to perform minimally invasive endovenous vein procedures, helping pioneer office-based treatments for chronic venous insufficiency and varicose veins. He later became a nationally recognized educator in venous disease, personally training dozens of physicians from across the United States and the Caribbean in modern vein ablation techniques.

Dr. Cohen has remained at the forefront of advances in vascular medicine. To the best of his knowledge, he was the first physician to perform a vein procedure using AngioDynamics' NeverTouch® laser fiber following its introduction in 2011, reflecting his long-standing commitment to adopting technologies that improve patient comfort and clinical outcomes.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Cohen has served as Chief of Cardiology at Memorial Regional Hospital on two separate occasions, a distinction that reflects the confidence and respect of his physician colleagues. He has also served as Medical Director for the Weston Chamber of Commerce and continues to be recognized as a leader in cardiovascular and vascular medicine.

Outside the office, Dr. Cohen is an avid runner and cyclist who believes healthy living begins with leading by example. He has completed dozens of marathons, half-marathons, triathlons, and century bicycle rides, giving him a unique appreciation for sports cardiology, cardiovascular fitness, and preventive medicine.

While Dr. Cohen is grateful for the professional honors he has received throughout his career, the recognition he treasures most is being named Father of the Year by the Weston YMCA, an award that reflects the values of compassion, dedication, and family that guide both his personal life and the care he provides to every patient.
